About reClock
reClock is the name given to live performances of the multichannel realtime loop-sampling project jamma. For each performance, a small group of the loopit team use a large variety of instruments to record loops, and continually layer new parts on top of each other, building up a big sound. Then the music is taken apart, stripped bare, the loops twisted and distorted before taking a new direction.
Styles played range from latin jazz/rhumba, drum and bass, hip hop, electro and funk grooves. There is also an integral visual element, provided by a vj projecting synchronised video and images for atmospheric inspiration.
